South Korean indie studio HANPAGE has made available a demo for the psychological horror visual novel There Is No Next Stop on June 3, accessible via Steam. The complete version of the game is set to debut in August 2026.

In line with its title, the backdrop of There Is No Next Stop is a perpetually moving train. The main character, a high school senior named Mia, finds herself ensnared in an alternate dimension following an odd announcement, “There is no next stop,” during her routine train ride. She regains consciousness with no recollection of her past, encircled by eerie, senseless beings known as Guests that seek to hunt and consume her.

Assuming the role of Mia, players must traverse the train’s warped interior – where hand straps have morphed into nooses and ads seem to watch you back – and strive to escape alive. Along the journey, players will encounter four enigmatic figures: Lycoris, Camellia, Magnolia and Rubra.

These alluring characters call themselves “Guides,” pressuring players to uncover the reality behind this bizarre occurrence. Survival hinges on whether players decide to place their trust in them. The game features a multi-ending system that splits in real time based on player decisions. There are numerous negative endings, but only one “true” ending.

There Is No Next Stop tackles disturbing themes, with the Steam store page cautioning players about depictions of depression, domestic abuse, trauma and suicide. The recently released demo lets players experience the game’s opening sequence, providing roughly 15 minutes of gameplay. Although the demo lacks skip, save and load features, these will be included in the full version. Moreover, the full game is projected to deliver 3-5 hours of playtime.

There Is No Next Stop is slated for release in August 2026 on PC (Steam).
