MAPPA reveals second trailer for Chainsaw Manโs Assassins Arc
MAPPA confirms the director of the Reze Arc returns for Denjiโs next chapter.
The 15th anniversary event of MAPPA continued delivering announcements, and this was one that fans of Denji have been awaiting: the second teaser for the Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc anime arrived, confirming the full production team. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who directed the Reze Arc film, returns to handle this new chapter of the franchise.
The scripts are handled by Hiroshi Seko, while kensuke ushio composes the music, maintaining the sonic continuity that has defined the seriesโ identity since its first season. Character design is by Kazutaka Sugiyama, with a large team of secondary character designers including Shoichi, Ken Seo, Shun, Hiroyuki Saita, and Naoki Chigira. Kiyotaka Oshiyama is in charge of demon design, one of the franchiseโs most distinctive visual elements. Art direction falls to Yusuke Takeda and Taku Munemasa, with sound direction by Yasushi Nagura.
The Assassins Arc follows directly after the Reze arc in the mangaโs timeline, confirming that production is moving linearly toward events that continue after the filmโs events. With Yoshihara returning and this level of detail in the confirmed team, production is clearly advancing toward this new installment of the franchise.

Chainsaw Man is the manga by Fujimoto, also known for Fire Punch, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. The first part, the Public Safety arc, concluded in December 2020, and the second part, the School arc, continues in Shonen Jump+ since July 2022. The manga has over 30 million copies in circulation and won the Best Manga award at the Harvey Awards for three consecutive years. The original anime premiered in October 2022, and the film Chainsaw Man โ The Movie: Reze Arc hit Japanese cinemas on September 19, 2025, debuting at the top of the box office. A stage play based on the Reze arc will be presented in Tokyo and Kyoto between July and August 2026.
