Renowned Japanese adult game studio Kiss has recently revealed that its crowdfunding drive for the highly customizable open-world romance simulator Custom Romance City 3D3 concluded on May 31, gathering a substantial 55.04 million yen (approximately $345.2k USD). Throughout a 38-day period, the project secured backing from 1,541 supporters, achieving 55 times its initial 1 million yen target.
According to Game*Spark, the Custom Romance City 3D3 crowdfunding initiative experienced remarkable momentum from its April 24 launch, swiftly reaching the 1-million-yen milestone within minutes and accumulating 10 million yen in roughly 48 hours. The campaign ultimately surpassed all stretch goals (the highest being 35 million yen), prompting the developers to unveil additional stretch goals on May 25, capped at 50 million yen. Impressively, the project not only met these new targets but also exceeded them by 5 million yen.

In a statement addressed to fans, producer Yamato expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and assured backers that the development team would continue working at full capacity ahead of the gameβs August 28 release. Custom Romance City 3D3 has been in development for six years, and the team now faces the challenge of integrating all the new locations and outfits promised as stretch goal rewards in the coming months.
