Google Gemini watermark found on Ironmouse cover
Trap Nation label apologizes and will replace the AI-created cover.
Finding an AI-generated image in an official project always causes a stir, but when it happens to a creator who has been firm against such tools, it’s a full-blown scandal. Popular VTuber Ironmouse found herself in an unexpected controversy when several fans discovered the Google Gemini AI watermark on the official artwork for the Meow theme, a song from her content pack in Fortnite.

The discovery went viral in early October 2026, after fans detected the distinctive spark-shaped icon added by Google’s tool in the bottom-right corner of the Club Ironmouse cover. The song is one of three tracks added to Fortnite Festival’s Idol Series, which hit the game’s store on September 18. Upon being notified by a social media user, the streamer reacted immediately, clarifying she had no idea AI-generated content was in the file, and assured her team had already contacted the responsible parties to demand urgent replacement of the artwork.

In response to the uproar, record label Trap Nation took full responsibility for the incident in an official statement. The company explained the file used was not intended for the final version and that the creator was never informed tools were used. The label apologized for the oversight and confirmed it is working to replace the cover across all digital platforms as soon as possible, while the original logo designer clarified his work was done traditionally and had no connection to the modified cover.
This situation is especially delicate for Ironmouse, given her strict stance against AI technology. In May 2026, the streamer immediately canceled her sponsorship with Neverness to Everness after learning the developer used AI to illustrate some backgrounds. At the time, she reaffirmed her demand for thorough reviews to reject any collaboration involving AI, showing her absolute commitment to defending human art.

Ironmouse is one of the world’s most influential independent VTubers and a star of the VShojo agency. Known for her powerful opera vocal range, charismatic personality, and streams focused on music, gaming, and casual chats, the Puerto Rican creator has made history in the virtual format, collaborating with entertainment industry giants and appearing as a playable character with her own music in major global titles.
What do you think about the label’s error in including an AI image without the creator’s consent?
