Sukuna takes control: Jujutsu Kaisen’s fourth season reveals details

Sukuna stars in the new image for the fourth season adapting the chaos of the game.

The King of Curses doesn’t plan to give anyone a moment of peace. To warm up for what’s coming in the bloodbath known as the Culling Game, the animated adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen presented the promotional image for its fourth season, focused entirely on the imposing and threatening presence of Ryomen Sukuna.

In the new official illustration, Sukuna is seen staring intently from the depths of dark, shadowy water, while extending a hand toward the viewer in a truly eerie gesture. This second part of the bloody game conceived by Kenjaku promises to push tension to the limit, picking up events right where the third season left the sorcerers divided into different colonies as they desperately tried to rescue Tsumiki Fushiguro and free Satoru Gojo.

After fierce battles, the situation on the battlefield is more tangled than ever. In Tokyo’s Number 1 Colony, Yuji Itadori convinced Hiromi Higuruma to add a crucial rule allowing point transfers between players to protect innocents. Meanwhile, Megumi Fushiguro survived the bloody clash against Reggie Star only to collapse from exhaustion, leaving him at the mercy of the Angel, a key figure whose cursed technique can nullify any other and represents the only hope to free Gojo.

At the same time, action diversifies on other battle fronts. Yuta Okkotsu proved why he’s a special-grade monster after decimating the Sendai Colony against four colossal rivals and accumulating 190 points. Meanwhile, Kinji Hakari and Panda head to Number 2 Colony to find Hajime Kashimo, Maki Zenin advances after completely annihilating her own clan, and Choso and Yuki Tsukumo guard Master Tengen in the Graves of the Trail. With Sukuna moving his pieces from the shadows, the curse chaos is ready to explode.

About Jujutsu Kaisen

Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, the original manga of Jujutsu Kaisen was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 until its exciting conclusion in September 2024, surpassing 150 million copies in circulation worldwide. The franchise debuted on television in October 2020 with its first season, followed by the successful sequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in December 2021, an acclaimed second season in mid-2023, and the third season aired early in 2026. This fourth season will adapt one of the work’s darkest and most decisive arcs.

With Sukuna ready to make his move and the Angel entering the scene, do you think Yuji and Megumi can save Gojo before the Culling Game claims more fatal victims?
