According to information from Korean news source Inven, VALOFE, the current creator and publisher of the free-to-play strategy RPG Last Origin, has initiated development on a follow-up installment named Last Origin 2.
Last Origin is a fan-service-focused, post-apocalyptic turn-based RPG that first hit the market in 2019 in Korea and 2020 in Japan, with plans for a worldwide launch scheduled for 2026. Players assume the role of a human Commander guiding a unit of powerful and striking female androids called Bioroids. Their objective is to defend the Earth from aggressive machines known as Metal Parasites – which absorb technology and have decimated most of humanity – and to repopulate the planet once they are defeated.

The newly revealed Last Origin 2 aims to broaden the scope of the original game from Earth to space, in addition to deepening the narrative, enhancing character designs, and expanding the game’s content.
This endeavor is also significant for VALOFE, which plans to evolve the Last Origin IP into a multi-project franchise. CEO Jae-myung Shin stated, “Last Origin 2 is the company’s first project to begin fresh development in earnest and is a title with great internal symbolism (…) By combining accumulated IP strengths and development expertise, we will nurture it as core content that will drive mid- to long-term growth.”
The announcement aligns with a major worldwide push for the franchise. VALOFE recently unveiled an official global website and launched pre-registrations for Last Origin R+, an international edition of the original Last Origin. The game is slated to launch in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, featuring English, German, and French localization, along with region-specific skins tailored for Western players. Although the game will be moderated on mainstream platforms, the publishers have confirmed they intend to offer an uncensored version via VFUN.

Pre-registrations for Last Origin remain open until May 21. The game is set to debut on Android, iOS, and PC. A sequel, Last Origin 2, is currently in development.
