Japanese publisher Good Smile Company is set to introduce a fresh way to engage with your favorite cat girls in their free-to-play gacha game Nekopara Sekai Connect (“NekoConne”), developed in collaboration with NEKO WORKS.
The innovative feature, known as “CommMode,” will enable players to interact and spend quality time with their chosen catgirl. This mode promises more profound interactions, allowing players to get intimately close and even virtually pet the characters through the screen.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Nekopara Sekai Connect is a spin-off from the original Nekopara visual novel series. Unlike the original’s narrative focus, this title emphasizes sandbox-style cafe management gameplay and a character-collecting gacha system.
The developers have recently announced the addition of a new catgirl to the game’s roster. Bavarois, a five-star character and new student from Gertrude Cat Academy, will be featured in a special Pickup Gacha with boosted drop rates. The gacha banner is scheduled to launch post-server maintenance on June 5, 2026, and will run until June 22, 2026 at 15:00 JST.
To commemorate the new character’s arrival, Good Smile Company is hosting the special event “The 2nd Nyan-on ♪ ~Bride of the Garden~,” offering players exclusive rewards and gacha tickets. An event pass and a limited-time login campaign will debut alongside the event. Additionally, the rhythm game mode will introduce a new music video titled ‘The Bouquet I Longed For,’ starring Bavarois.
Nekopara Sekai Connect is available on iOS and Google Play, with a PC (Steam) version planned for release in 2026.
