Training your whole life to fight monsters, only to have peace declared before your first battle—that’s the kind of twist that defines a great story. Soara and the House of Monsters has confirmed its anime adaptation, set to debut in 2027, alongside a teaser, promotional image, and initial cast and production team announcements.

The teaser and image offer a first look at the world and characters of a story built on an unexpected twist: Soara, an orphan raised by knights and trained to fight the monsters attacking her kingdom, finds peace declared just as she’s set to join the fight. With her sword now useless, Soara meets Kirik, a young dwarf leader of the Monster Architects. Instead of fighting monsters, Soara joins Kirik to build them comfortable homes—and in this unexpected journey, she might find the family and home she’s always lacked.

Soara and the House of Monsters is a manga by Hidenori Yamaji that launched on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry site in November 2021. The first compiled volume was released in May 2022, with the seventh volume scheduled for August 10, 2026.
