Japanese media and gaming giant CyberAgent has released its financial report for the second fiscal half concluding March 2026, indicating a period of overall profitability. Although many of the company’s business arms performed well, its gaming sector saw particularly significant gains, boasting a 106.3% year-on-year jump in operating profit to 38.6 million JPY ($244k USD) and a 47.4% year-on-year rise in revenue to 132.2 million JPY ($837k USD).

During the earnings call, CyberAgent’s president Takahiro Yamauchi attributed the gaming division’s success to celebratory in-game events and strategic overseas expansion. Notably, international sales surged 3.5 times year-on-year, largely propelled by the global triumph of Umamusume: Pretty Derby (source: Denfaminicogamer). The company also credited the anime adaptation of Umamusume: Cinderella Gray—which clinched “Anime of the Year” and numerous other honors at the 12th Anime Trending Awards—to the achievements of its game and media & IP divisions.

Beyond Umamusume: Pretty Derby, the earnings call highlighted the accomplishments of GOODROID, a Japanese mobile game developer under CyberAgent’s umbrella. In addition to releasing 81 games overseas and tallying over 600 million downloads for its titles as of February, GOODROID also launched the new mobile game Bus Rush Fever!, crafted internally by the “hyper-casual” studio Pawars.

Looking ahead, Yamauchi disclosed that CyberAgent’s gaming division is “establishing a framework to ensure the long-term sustainability of our current titles, while concurrently developing new projects aimed at generating hits in the medium term.” He further noted that pre-registrations for QualiArts’ forthcoming hololive Dreams mobile rhythm game are proceeding favorably and expressed high expectations for Cygames’ Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok expansion.
