Japanese entertainment conglomerate CyberAgent has revealed its financial performance for the second half of the fiscal year concluding March 2026, indicating a period of overall profitability. Although the majority of the company’s business segments reported positive outcomes, its gaming arm delivered some of the most significant gains, achieving a substantial 106.3% year-on-year surge in operating profit to 38.6 million JPY ($244k USD) and a 47.4% year-on-year rise in revenue to 132.2 million JPY ($837k USD).

During the earnings presentation, CyberAgent’s president Takahiro Yamauchi attributed the gaming division’s success to in-game anniversary celebrations and international market expansion. Notably, overseas sales saw a 3.5-fold year-on-year increase, largely propelled by Umamusume: Pretty Derby achieving global success (source: Denfaminicogamer). The company also credited the anime adaptation of Umamusume: Cinderella Gray—which secured “Anime of the Year” honors and multiple other awards at the 12th Anime Trending Awards—to the prosperity of its game and media & IP business units.

Beyond Umamusume: Pretty Derby, the earnings briefing highlighted the achievements of Japanese mobile game developer GOODROID, another subsidiary of CyberAgent. In addition to the studio releasing 81 games internationally and its titles accumulating over 600 million downloads as of February, GOODROID also published the new mobile title Bus Rush Fever!, developed internally by the “hyper-casual” studio Pawars.

Regarding CyberAgent’s gaming division roadmap, Yamauchi disclosed that they are “establishing a framework to ensure the sustained operation of our existing titles, and we are currently developing new games with the goal of generating hits in the medium term.” He further noted that pre-registration for QualiArts’ forthcoming hololive Dreams mobile rhythm game is proceeding steadily, and expressed strong optimism for Cygames’ Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok expansion.
