Dying, being resurrected without memory of your past, and collecting adventurer corpses deep in a dungeon isn’t exactly a common job. Blade & Bastard released its teaser confirming the main cast and production team, with a release scheduled for 2027.

The story takes place in the world of the classic computer RPG Wizardry, bringing dark fantasy to one of gaming culture’s most recognized settings. A corpse that shouldn’t exist is discovered deep in an unexplored dungeon. After being resurrected, Iarumas completely loses memories of his life before death, spending his days venturing into the dungeon to recover the bodies of deceased adventurers. Can they also be revived, or will they end up reduced to ashes on the altar? Either way, Iarumas charges his retrieval fee. Though his skills earn him reluctant respect, he’s also despised for his cold, utilitarian attitude; the living keep their distance, and he mainly interacts with the dead. Everything changes when he meets Garbage, a young wild swordswoman and the sole survivor of a massacred group.
