Dead by Daylight will change 2B’s skin after fan complaints
Behaviour Interactive will modify Feng Min’s appearance following public response.
When a franchise brings in a beloved and stylish character like 2B, player expectations are high. However, the recent crossover between Dead by Daylight and NieR:Automata sparked discomfort among fans, who quickly noticed that the legendary 2B skin for Feng Min looked far from the original design by Square Enix.
The themed collection launched in early October, featuring legendary skins like 2B for Feng Min, Yui Kimura as A2, and a special Emil outfit for The Legion. Controversy erupted days later when players saw the 2B model without its signature black eye patch. Revealed were facial structure, eye shape, jawline, and overall proportions that alarmed the community, as 2B and A2 share very similar features in the original game, but appeared vastly different here.

Due to ongoing dissatisfaction with the model quality and texture fidelity, Mandy, the game’s community manager, posted an official response on the Dead by Daylight forums. She confirmed the development team will adjust 2B’s legendary appearance to more closely match the character’s classic design. While no exact date has been set for this visual update, changes may arrive in a secondary patch, and the company noted that user-generated images circulating online do not represent the final work.
Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric multiplayer horror game by Behaviour Interactive, originally released in 2016. It remains a top title in its genre thanks to constant collaborations with major franchises from film, TV, and gaming, allowing iconic survivors and killers to face off in tense matches.
What did you think of 2B’s initial design in this crossover, and what changes would you like to see in the final model?
